Hi in January I took the big move from Zinga poker on Facebook to PKR when I saw it advertised on the TV and down loaded and played Play money till the decision to make a deposit of 25 bucks came from the advertised $10 Valentines day game where the winner had $1000 dollars and all expenses night out with Linsey Strutts the Nuts and FHM glamour model, well my first real money tourney and I came 8th and though I was sorley disapointed that she had ended up with a date with a scrawney hungarian kid with a girlfriend. I had poketed $80, so not too bad, but... also by that time I had finished off my 8 tins of Hobgolin Whytchcraft Beer and really had demons in my head thinking I was was the best poker player in the world, so then I get into my first cash game .50/$1 and lost the lot includind the left overs of my deposit in about 5 minutes
anyway I made another deposit and got up to Member level and stayed with PKR a couple of months, till I mover over to trying anything and everything freerolls, and since june I mainly play a coulple of ipoker rooms,
So it was my birthday on thursday and I get an email for a bithday invite to play the PKR £365 where there invite members who's had a birthday in the last 7 days, well by the 3rd level in the top 10% of the 109 runners then soon after was first and thats how it remained till the heads up I go in 2.5 to 1 lead in chips, at no point in the game did I make a mistake (i dont think, well I dont concider it bad shove all in preflop with A9 against a shortstack to hit AA and still hit the straight )
however I did loose the heads up stupidly for loosing focus and thinking ah well even second place is OK and took two big all in risks
Point is I really think you guys have improved my game, this is a place you get to play some serious players without having a buyin of £60+ in the last 2 months Ive freerolled up to three 3rd round supersats, and only think its a matter of time and some more learning before I'm playing my first big buy in Live event and then start expirencing life at that level
but really I creamed to those PKR member level people
