The short answer: I would have played it exactly the same; I would make sure that I would bet to scare drawing hands out, to make value for my hand, and expect for a healthy, improving flop, one that would help me. The 3rd ace would make go all-in, for sure, when there no straight, flush, or full house draws there.
I don't know what to say here; I met this situation plenty of times.
The outcome is clear: he won, but some questions remain: why did he call with two overcards on board, when any single pair would have him beat? Possible answers could be here: how many more chips related to your stack size did he have, so he thought he could afford a possible small loss? Maybe he thought you were trying to steal and the want to resteal - what was your table position regarding to button? Was he in some kind of tilt, showing muscles at the table, going all-in every hand? Other members can fill in with other ways of seeing this. Knowing the way the did the thinking thru that, could make us play better next hand.
Now you can think that a preflop all-in would have that settled, but usually, it ends quickly with an all-around fold, so all you win are the blinds and antes. But, seing the player's action, like he called all-in with a weak pair, for me a weak and clearly dominated hand, I think he would have called that all-in preflop as well.
If that helps you Sicu, my last week and a half was filled with those suck-out hands: tha last was the very first hand on BetFred 's last night freeroll, then last Intertops freeroll, the BetBoo freeroll, where I had AA and Tykushor goes all-in preflop with 2c4c, I call him, just to see a club flush on the flop; PokerTime was no different.
My conclusion: suck-outs like that still up-sets me, but I cannot avoid them, and nor can you. What do I do? I switch to another poker room, I switch to Omaha or Stud, or simply I stop play. The only way to minimize the damage is a good bankroll management, so loses are not critical, so I can keep on playing. For the time lost and mood change....
PS: what is the meaning for those 4 colored squares next to your nick name, just bellow "Jr. member"?

| That means at least the squares love you. Esti din Iasi?
For PokerTime, it's good to play there in October, 'cause they have a bankroll booster plan for this month.
Lol - I even tried the other way: mucking the high pair in the bubble, to stay out of trouble... then the small stack got called by two big stacks at the table, with nothing but air and pure greed, and winning with an 8 on the river, making a pair, so he suddenly finds himself with a stack to play on, later to find myself blinded out.

| To play the hand your are dealt means to not complain about not having an optimal situation but to just deal with things as they are and make the best of it that you can. | |
